Dr. Francis Morgan

scholar

Dr. Francis Morgan of Miskatonic University joined Armitage and Rice in confronting Wilbur Whateley's monstrous legacy, arming himself with a rifle before the climactic vigil on Sentinel Hill.

Dr. Francis Morgan was among the men Armitage confided his conjectures to, and he saw Wilbur Whateley's body on the library floor. On the day of the confrontation he uncased a big-game rifle, relying on it despite Armitage's warning that no material weapon would help; earlier, meeting arriving policemen in the vestibule, he had urged them to postpone entering the stench-filled reading-room until the medical examiner arrived.
